Dear participants,
XVth International İzmir Textile and Apparel Symposium (IITAS 2021) was held online between October 26-27, 2021. In IITAS 2021, it was aimed to discuss recent innovations and sector-specific issues together with the exchange of information.
Over 400 participants (academic, executives and employers working in the textile and apparel industries and students) from 8 countries attended the symposium. 5 associations and/or companies sponsored to IITAS 2021.
On October 26, opening ceremony was performed. The present position and the future vision of textile industry were evaluated by the speakers well known in their fields in plenary sessions on both Symposium Days. On October 26 and 27, 54 presentations (24 from industry and 30 from universities) were held in three parallel sessions about textile raw materials, spinning, weaving, knitting, textile chemistry and finishing, technical textiles, apparel etc.. Additionally, 28 poster presentations were performed in the Poster Session.
Thank you for your attendance to IITAS 2021 and we hope to be together again at the IITAS 2023 in İzmir!
